Improving access to health and social services, through community-based, participatory research.

Research

Group circle_edited.jpg

We are a Victoria, BC based, multi-disciplinary research program, located at the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research. We are active across local, provincial and national levels, and works with those who access care services, deliver services, and who occupy leadership roles at the organizational and governmental levels.

Our focus is developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based interventions in partnership with community members to take action on the social determinants of health.

The Team

We are grateful to conduct our work on the lands of the Lək̓wəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day. We strive to honour Métis, Inuit, First Nations, and all Indigenous peoples in the research we undertake and the community activities we engage with.
